Official launch of CLC South in Spain

On June 19 2018 the official launch of CLC South took place in Madrid. CLC South is made up of partners and startups from Spain, Israel, Greece, Portugal, Italy and Turkey. The headquarters in Spain is located in Madrid and has Begoña Pérez Villareal as Director.
More than 70 professionals of the sector and experts in different fields meet to discuss the future of food in southern Europe, with the presence of Luca Cocolin, President of CLC South, Filip Fontaine, CEO of EIT Food, and Benoit Buntinx, Director of Business Development of EIT Food.

Guest speakers

Different guests attended this event and contributed with different points of view on the future of the food sector: Gemma Trigueros for the Spanish Organisation of Consumers and Users (OCU), Pablo Gómez for Acesur, Román Muñoz for the Business Association of Madrid Food Industries (ASEACAM), Maite Iriondo for IMIDRA and our CEO Antonio Vicente Contreras, who highlighted the importance of data and information to develop predictive models, as well as the improvement of traceability thanks to innovative technologies such as the blockchain or the improvement of personalized nutrition thanks to the monitoring devices and the IoT.
